This lively show is brought to you by the Taranaki Disabilities Information Centre.
It entertains and informs about events, happenings,
support and opportunities in Taranaki for people living with disabilities.
It features pre-recorded interviews with people from the community talking about the challenges they face, and music - don't forget the music.
The first presenter was Michelle Burnside. Later shows are hosted by Marama Simeon.
Some of the content, e.g. up-coming events, was time-dependent.
The guests' stories are timeless.
The Taranaki Disabilities Information Centre links people to community supports. The centre specialises in helping people to get their questions answered so that they can made informed decisions to improve their quality of life. This is a free information and advisory service available to everyone; people with a disability, family and whanau, support workers and support organisations.
They have equipment available for purchase and hire. Secondhand equipment can also be sold through them. The centre has over 50 different support groups affiliated to it. They can put you in contact with the groups and link you to their support network.
