Local Muslim men Yusuf and Khaleed are proud to present "Breaking Barriers". This broadcast aims to deliver real information about the Islamic faith, and to help dispel any false and conjectural notions people may have. Promotion of the common good, mutual respect, and unity is underpinned on the programme, in the light of fundamental tenets of Islam cognizant of its contemporary applications.
Misinformation, and limited personal interaction with people from different backgrounds, can lead to prejudice and alienation of the "other". The Magna Carta of human fraternity and unity, contained in the Holy Quran, encourages mankind to respect human diversity. The verse reads:
"O mankind, We have created you from a male and female and have made you into nations and tribes for you to know one another, Truly, the noblest of you with God is most pious. Truly, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware." (Quran 49:13)
